Who are we?
The Zaanstreek-Waterland department is one of 78 Humanitas departments. Our volunteers help people through our activities to regain control over their own life and participate in society. We have various activities within the 5 Humanitas themes: Growing Up, Bringing Up Children, Loneliness, Loss, and Home Administration. We are active in all 7 municipalities in the Zaanstreek-Waterland region. Our help is free and always nearby.
What does the role entail?
As an administrator, you think about the policy and future of our department. Together with your fellow administrators, you give direction to our volunteer organization and support the coordinators of the activities. Depending on your interests, you can focus on areas such as 'communication and visibility of Humanitas in the region', 'volunteer management and recruitment', or 'administrative representation towards municipalities and chains'.
What do we expect from you?
- Affinity with the work and values of Humanitas;
- Being able to think policy-wise, but also… hands-on;
- Knowledge of volunteer organizations;
- Some administrative experience is preferred;
- Knowledge of social networks/contact persons in the Waterland, Purmerend, and Edam-Volendam area would be nice;
- Available for 1 to 2 days a week.
