About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and creative individuals to join our team as Story Time Chess tutors. Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with children and has a passion for teaching chess through storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Teach children aged 3 and up how to play chess using fun and engaging stories.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that includes games, puzzles, and lessons tailored to each child.
• Teach in both home settings and schools.
• Communicate effectively with parents and schools to ensure the best learning experience for the children.
• Be responsive to emails, phone calls, and meetings.

Requirements

• Familiarity with the game of chess is beneficial but not necessary.
• Experience as a performing artist, teacher, or early childhood professional is a plus.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A thorough background check will be required at the time of hire.

Pay

$40 per hour

Schedule

After school, choose your own hours, Monday to Friday, with weekend availability.
