New York Licensed Virtual Tutor

About the role

We are currently seeking passionate and creative teachers to assist with our growing need for virtual tutoring. This unique position involves working remotely, providing academic support to middle and high school students as they are out of school for medical, behavioral, or various unique reasons.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual tutoring support to students on a 1:1 and small group setting
• Guide students through educational material
• Ensure academic success of students

Requirements

• New York teaching license
• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution
• Comfortable working with Middle and High school students
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs, especially in upper level Math and Science

• Reliable internet connection, working computer and distraction free work space

• Compensation for both instructional sessions and designated daily administrative time

Schedule

Monday–Friday between 8:00 AM–10:00 PM EST, with a minimum commitment of 12.5 hours per week. Preference will be given to candidates who can increase availability during our peak season (November–early June).
