Tutor ELL Spanish

The tutor must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Two years of study at an institution of higher education;
• An Associate's degree (or higher);
• Demonstrate through a formal state or local academic assessment (ParaPro Assessment) knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics, as appropriate;
• Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness, as appropriate;
• Basic computer skills (ability to use email).

Essential functions include:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memoranda in English and in the first language;
• Ability to write simple correspondence;
• Effective presentation of information in one-on-one and small group situations to parents, students and other employees of the organization in both English and their first language.

Physical requirements:

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

• Calendar: 188DS
• Salary: Assistant - Range DFTE: 0.50
• This is a 0.50 FTE, non-benefited position.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
