Tutor - Classified - Shaner Daycare

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to commit to 2-10 hours per week, not to exceed a 40 hour work week
• Available to work an extra hour on school days in which school begins later in the morning
• Knowledgeable about CCSS, technology, remediation/enrichment activities, and children
• Willing to meet the individual academic needs of children through differentiated approaches
• Knows and understands District policies and procedures
• Speaking and understanding Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide individual/small group instruction under the direction of a lead teacher
• Review instructional materials and processes prior to conducting student lessons
• Provide data as requested to after-school coordinator

Physical/Emotional Requirements

• Frequent walking, sitting, talking, and hearing
• Frequent standing and reaching with hands and arms
• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
• Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required
• Required to interact with staff and meet demands from several people
• Responsible for the work output of others
