Turquoise Ridge - Open Pit Tire Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain all tires on mine equipment, including passenger light vehicles and all off-road vehicles.
• Maintain correct air pressures and tread depths.
• Inspect and remove worn or failed tires, and install replacement tires.
• Repair all repairable tires.
• Complete routine maintenance activities to ensure the availability and safe functioning of large mining and support equipment fleets.
• Maintain shop areas, tools, and service vehicles to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform daily pre-shift work inspections and participate in individual and group hazard identification processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience in maintenance of mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military, or support equipment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics required.
• Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.
• Experience handling tires preferred.
• Ability to accomplish strenuous physical labor under all weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Proven safe work record with a commitment to a courageous leadership model.
• Ability to thrive as an initial team member in a growing, fast-paced environment and support the team in achieving safety, environmental, equipment protection, and production goals.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
