About the role
We are seeking a person with experience in managing the installations of temporary HVAC systems. This person will be involved from the initial job walk with sales through the installation and completion of the project. Must be able to lead a team in a high-pressure environment. Good communication skills with co-workers, contractors, and end-user customers are a requirement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of temporary HVAC mechanical projects.
- Manage our field crews and subcontractors, delegating tasks, and monitoring the day-to-day performance of workers.
- Ensure a seamless ready-to-operate handover of the temporary HVAC system to the customer.
- Enforce OSHA regulations, conduct daily safety briefings, and manage on-site risks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 Training
- 7-10 years of experience in chiller/HVAC maintenance, mechanical engineering, or other related fields
- Electrical knowledge required; EPA Certification Preferred (e.g., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to train junior technicians
- Excellent customer service skills with a desire to exceed customer expectations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a timely manner, ensuring the job is done correctly the first time
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., Smartphone, iPad)
- Ability to work in diverse conditions including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, extreme weather conditions, risk of electrical shock (high voltage), climbing/working at elevated heights, etc.
- Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem-solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.
Environmental Requirements
- Will be required to work in a field environment at multiple customer sites on a daily basis.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to use hands to operate a computer keyboard and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Continually required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
