About the role

The primary responsibility of the Assistant at Vulcan Village is to support the leasing office and community outreach efforts. This includes administrative tasks such as copying documents, filing resident files, and handling resident calls. Additionally, the Assistant assists with lease preparation, move-in and move-out processes, and performs on-campus marketing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Performs administrative tasks for the leasing office including copying documents, filing resident files, preparing notices, handling resident calls, and organizing rent payments and other collateral materials.
  • Affords assistance with the lease preparation, move-in and move-out process by printing all required lease paperwork and organizing resident lease files.
  • Engages in on-campus marketing outreach to generate Community awareness and qualified traffic.
  • Affords support to resident functions, including parties, welcome parties, unit visits, and other programs to achieve resident satisfaction goals.
  • Maintains the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris, pressure-washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
  • Performs touch-up paints for vacants and occupied units and ensures apartment homes have been properly caulked and sealed as needed around windows, sink areas, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.

Requirements

Qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or equivalent, and some college coursework or training in real estate or customer service. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Skills

Essential skills for this role include strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also beneficial.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $10.00 per hour. Additional compensation may include participation in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance, and weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs for onsite property positions.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the student living environment.
