Turn Assistant - The Blake (Student Living)
About the role
As an Assistant at The Blake (Student Living), you will support the leasing office and assist with various resident functions. This role involves administrative tasks, lease preparation, move-in/move-out processes, on-campus marketing, and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Performs administrative tasks such as copying documents, filing resident files, preparing notices, handling resident calls, and organizing rent payments and other collateral materials.
- Aids in the lease preparation, move-in and move-out process by printing all required lease paperwork and organizing resident lease files.
- Engages in on-campus marketing efforts to increase community awareness and attract qualified residents.
- Assists with resident functions, including parties, welcome parties, unit visits, and other programs aimed at enhancing resident satisfaction.
- Maintains the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris, pressure-washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
- Performs touch-up paints for vacants and occupied units and ensures that apartment homes are properly caulked and sealed around windows, sink areas, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.
Requirements
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
Skills
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, are necessary. Familiarity with property management software is beneficial but not required.
