Turf Location Supervisor - Fort Myers, FL

About the role

The Simplot T&H Supervisor is responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising employees in all facets of day-to-day operations, including safety protocols, delivery logistics, general accounting practices, inventory control, product procurement, and maintaining warehouse equipment and commercial motor vehicle operation and service records.

Responsibilities

• Monitor general safety policies and procedures to ensure regulatory requirements are met and the overall safe operation of the business unit.
• Supervise CDL driver workforce on logistical operations and general maintenance of the commercial motor vehicle fleet and associated delivery equipment.
• Organize and supervise day-to-day operations, determining work practices and procedures to optimize resource utilization.
• Perform recordkeeping functions and general accounting practices related to inventory, delivery scheduling, product procurement, and employee files.
• Interface with the sales force on product forecasting and general customer requests.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent experience in education and work history.
• Supervisory, planning, organization, interpersonal, communication, multitasking, and leadership skills.
• General warehousing knowledge and inventory management; Turf & Horticulture knowledge is a plus.
• Proactive customer service and support beyond typical operational needs.
• Analysis and problem-solving abilities for out-of-the-ordinary assignments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Skills & Knowledge

• Advanced expertise in assigned functional areas, including mechanical, equipment, and record-keeping.
• Familiarity with farming environments, chemical and fertilizer requirements, and application techniques.
• Knowledge of geographic area, including crop types, farming requirements, and cultural practices.
• Experience within Grower Solutions.
• Ability to maximize productivity within a team environment.
