Responsibilities
- Perform duties necessary to maintain an attractive and safe environment throughout campus
- Assist with turf maintenance, as needed, including trimming on banks and natural areas
- Assist in the management and identification of turf grass and its related pests
- Possess the ability to use mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.
- Apply fertilizers and pesticides with guidance from the Turf Crew Leader
- Properly maintain power equipment and hand tools, with the supervision of the Mechanic
- Keep shrub and flower beds clean, weeded, edged, and mulched
- Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor
Requirements
- High School GED equivalent is preferred
- Must have, as a minimum, six months experience in a grounds worker capacity
- Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License
Qualifications
- Previous experience with zero turn mowers, weed eaters, backpack blowers, leaf removal, and bed edging not required, but strongly preferred

Pay
$20.00 - $21.50 per hour, based on background and experience, plus our comprehensive benefits package!
Schedule
Schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, however, there is also a possibility of a 4 day work week, working 10 hour days as well.
