Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tunnel Inspector to assess the safety and integrity of tunnels and underground structures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field preferred
- 5-20 years' experience in tunnel inspection, civil engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of tunnel construction methods, materials, and safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification in tunnel inspection or related field is a plus
- OSHA 30-Hour safety certification prior to the start of work on the project
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of tunnels and underground structures to assess safety, structural integrity, and compliance with regulations
- Identify and document any structural issues, defects, or maintenance needs
- Prepare detailed inspection reports outlining findings, recommendations, and proposed solutions
- Collaborate with engineers, construction teams, and other stakeholders to address inspection findings
- Ensure that all inspections are conducted in accordance with safety protocols and industry standards
- Stay up-to-date on tunnel construction techniques, materials, and safety regulations
- Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance inspection skills and knowledge
Pay
Salary range: $90,000 to $130,000 YR
