Construction Inspector
Geo-Technology Associates (GTA) office in Beaver Falls, PA is seeking experienced candidates for a Construction Inspector position.
About the role
In this position, you will provide a wide range of observation and testing services for geotechnical and environmental development projects for a diverse client base in the private and public sectors.
- Monitoring and testing the moisture and density of soils using a nuclear density testing gauge
- Testing of concrete, asphalt and other materials
- Observing and documenting construction activities to assure compliance with technical specifications
- Preparing daily field reports and test summaries documenting the work being performed
Prior experience is required. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Requirements
- Reliable vehicle, good driving record, and valid driver's license
- Physical capability to carry equipment/samples over 50 lbs on uneven ground
- High school diploma/GED with good writing and math skills
- Roadway construction experience (desired but not required)
- Possess one or more of the following current certifications:
- NICET
- ACI AP
- NGA NETTCP
- ICC FPO
Technicians require the ability and willingness to work almost entirely outdoors, perform extensive fieldwork, and travel significant distances to project sites. Overtime may be required, depending on the project. GTA will reimburse you for mileage and tolls and pay you "time and a half" for overtime.

- Occasionally move 80 pounds or more (e.g., a loaded wheelbarrow of concrete or soil samples)
GTA will provide Personal Protective Equipment, including a high-visibility vest, hard hat, gloves, and safety glasses.

Pay
$18–26 per hour, based on experience
