Main Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Replace/install working linings and safety linings in tundishes.
- Install all tundish refractory furniture, temp probes, stopper rod, stopper rod mechanism, chop gate, SEN and gate.
- Assist in refractory ladle/EAF installations as needed/scheduled by the refractory team leader.
- Maintain a clean, organized and stocked work area.
- Utilize established documentation systems (logs, emails, paperwork, etc.) to communicate all relevant information to the refractory and management team.
- Work closely with the refractory team leader and shift coordinator to minimize down time and improve equipment reliability.
- Participate in improvement and organization projects.
- Ensure safe operation of tundishes and participate in SSAB safety programs, audits and reviews.
Required About You / Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good, interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
Preferred
- Experience with refractories.
- M365 proficiency.
