Job Summary and Responsibilities
Organizes and maintains a cancer patient data system which conforms to ACOS standards and meets the needs of users of the Kentucky Cancer Program.
Affords assistance in cancer registry operations.
Performs data entry.
- Works with work distribution and examines medical and pathology records to determine patient eligibility for the cancer registry database according to established guidelines.
- Carries out abstracting activities by efficiently and accurately abstracting cancer registry data from the medical record.
- Collects, calculates, analyzes, interprets and presents numerical data related to cancer occurrence, case management and outcome measures.
Job Requirements
- Associates of Science or equivalent education as required to sit for certification.
- Experience in coding or transcription, upon hire.
- Certified Tumor Registrar, within 24 - months.

At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service.

Pay Range
$20.86 - $29.46 /hour
