About the role
Under the supervision and guidance of the Sports Operation Director, teach Tumbling to groups of children between the ages of 2-14 on Thursdays from 5-7 PM.
Responsibilities
- Implement program ideas
- Plan, prepare, and lead classes
- Set up equipment and mats for programs
- Ensure a safe and risk-free environment at all times while meeting the individual needs of participants
- Act as a role model, exhibit good judgment, and maintain strong awareness of safety; know and understand all emergency procedures
- Solve problems in a positive manner and operate in a busy atmosphere
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Adult, Child & Infant CPR/AED/First Aid certification required or obtain within 60 days of hire
- Experience working with youth between 2-14
- Experience teaching or participating in gymnastics and/or dance
- Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent child/parent communication skills
- Must complete and clear a background/criminal history check
- Must complete Child Abuse Prevention video course prior to first day on duty
