About the role

Set up, adjust, and operate cutoff saw, tube straightening, and shot blast equipment. Perform a variety of roughing operations, adjusting speeds, feeds, and sequences within standard practice. Conduct basic equipment maintenance, ensure heat number traceability, and initiate process change requests while maintaining accurate operational records.

Operate a power forklift truck to transport materials, parts, fixtures, equipment, and castings as needed. Maintain logs and service records for forklift equipment and report malfunctions to supervisors.

Perform Level I liquid penetrant inspection, including application of visible and/or fluorescent inspection to identify defects. Conduct cosmetic and investigative grinding for test preparation and defect assessment, determining part pass/fail status based on industry codes, standards, and customer specifications. Prepare inspection documentation and move parts using forklifts, hoists, and other lifting equipment.

Maintain Liquid Penetrant Level I certification and participate in department work groups.

Requirements

  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Math and language skills equivalent to a high school education (4 years), including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions and decimals.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Willingness to study materials independently for certification tests.
  • Basic blueprint knowledge.
  • Experience with basic measuring instruments.
  • Cutoff saw experience preferred.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. repetitively and pushing/pulling heavy loads.
  • Must have or be able to obtain forklift certification.

Pay

$19.72–$29.59 per hour.
