Tube Laser Set-Up / Operator - First Shift

JOB DESCRIPTION

The tube laser operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the tube laser. Duties include:

  • Setup, operate, and monitor programs on the tube laser
  • Read work orders to determine programming requirements
  • Perform consistent and accurate quality checks to detect and prevent part defects
  • Load and unload material
  • Accurately complete paperwork for work orders, inspections, and material storage
  • Troubleshoot cut issues and know how to fix them
  • Perform prescribed & preventative maintenance
  • Find, pull, and load material into the machine

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Strong work ethic
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Team player with a positive, 'can do' attitude
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform precise measurements using a caliper/precision measuring tools
  • Blueprint Reading

THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED

  • Previous tube laser set-up, operating and/or programming experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Certificate from college or technical school is a plus

  • The pay range/rate of pay for this position may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training and/or experience
