About the Role

You will fabricate and assemble tubing components that support air, fuel, oil, hydraulic, and related systems, directly impacting product quality and safety. You will work onsite on a 2nd shift schedule (3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday–Friday) after training on first shift for at least two months; you will interact with production leads, quality inspectors, and weld teams to meet specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders, blueprints, sketches, bend data charts, or work from master tubing templates to determine tubing dimensions and finish specifications
  • Establish trim lines and relationships of parts using master tube data and measuring systems
  • Set up and operate manual and power machines to cut, form, swage, flare, and deburr tubing to spec
  • Perform single bend operations on semi-automatic tube benders
  • Attach fittings (nuts, sleeves, collars, caps) using hand tools and machines
  • Align, fit, and assemble tubing in jigs and fixtures for subsequent welding
  • Measure and inspect tubing using height gauges, bevel protractors, calipers, CMM, and visual controls
  • Pressure-test tubing assemblies for leaks and defects
  • Mark identifying information on tubing via etching, labels, or other methods
  • Clean, lubricate, and remove minor imperfections according to approved processes

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related experience (including degreasing, preparing tubing for bending, and preparing components for stock/transport)
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions, procedures, blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications
  • Proficiency with basic math, effective verbal and written communication, and basic computer skills
  • Strong mechanical reasoning and the ability to work within precise limits of accuracy
  • Ability to implement lean/continuous improvement initiatives and work in a team environment
  • Must acquire certified operator stamp within one year in the position
  • Ability to perform rigid tube, waterspider, and saw cell processes with limited assistance

  • Background as an auto mechanic is considered a good fit

Pay

$15.80 - $19.75/hour
