TSCR Engineer

About the role

H2C seeks an Engineer to join the Tank Side Cesium Removal (TSCR) Engineering team. This position is directly supporting plant operations providing real time problem solving in a fast-paced operations and maintenance environment. Daily coordination with H2C and subcontractor engineering teams as well as Operations & Maintenance team members to ensure smooth, 24/7 operations of TSCR.

Responsibilities

• Act as a fully competent engineer in all conventional aspects of the subject matter or the functional area of the assignments.
• Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
• Demonstrate interpolative patterned thinking and require minimal guidance.
• Function as a team member or lead a task force or special assignment.
• Meet the following scope and expectations:
• Perform engineering calculations, analysis, studies, and recommendations for a specialized segment of engineering within schedule and budget of an assigned project.
• Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field.
• Develop and sustain productive customer relationships.
• Prepare Statements of Work, design products, procurements, specifications, etc.
• Function as a team member consisting of both internal and external resources.
• Aid in technical and cost/benefit evaluations and development of task plans and schedules.
• Prepare design media.
• Prepare Engineering documents, evaluations, and calculations.
• Perform routine administrative activities/duties on time (routine training, safety meetings, TIS, continuing training, staff meetings).
• Ensure all documents prepared are of "stand alone" quality.
• Seek to understand engineering work assignments and to be self-directed.
• Be customer service oriented, completing assignments safely, on time, and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance to subcontractors in the execution of design (e.g., ensure use of correct design inputs, utilization of accepted analysis methodologies, design standards, and verification methods).

Requirements

• Grade 17: Bachelor of Science (BS) in an Engineering discipline or related technical discipline; and Four (4) years related experience
• Grade 18: Bachelor of Science (BS) in an Engineering discipline or related technical discipline; and Six (6) years related experience
• Grade 19: Bachelor of Science (BS) in an Engineering discipline or related technical discipline; and Eight (8) years related experience

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to facilitate operations and maintenance of and operational nuclear waste processing facility.
• Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate to peers, operations & maintenance personnel and management.
• Take prompt action to accomplish assigned objectives and understand/identify issues and opportunities.
• Previous experience in a nuclear facility.

Pay

Hiring Range Minimum: $99,063
Hiring Range Maximum: $151,038

Schedule

A standard 4 x 10 work schedule, allowing more personal time to enjoy life outside of the office (other schedules and/or shift work may be required).
