Location: Charlotte, NC. This is a remote position requiring travel to store locations within the assigned territory. Daily travel averages 55 miles; mileage is reimbursed at 62 cents per mile.

About the role

This part-time Territory Sales Associate (TSA) role is ideal for a relationship-oriented individual looking to apply their selling skills while representing leading consumer brands. TSAs focus on selling and insuring best-in-class merchandising, including building displays, increasing distribution of top-selling items, and replenishing permanent secondary displays.

Schedule

This is a continuous part-time position requiring 20-25 hours per week. Workdays should overlap core hours of 6:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility based on personal and territory needs. On average, a TSA visits 6-10+ accounts per day.

Pay

Hourly starting rate of $15.50 - $16.50 per hour, depending on skills, experience, and geographic location.

Responsibilities

• Sell and maintain 100% distribution of all “authorized” Hershey items in the assigned territory.
• Ensure flawless retail execution of Headquarter Sales and Merchandising Plans (Retail Execution Plan) with various retailers.
• Achieve all merchandising objectives through effective use of Permanent Secondary Displays and other display vehicles.
• Report weekly activity, expenses, account changes, promotions, and all administrative functions within the assigned territory.
• Submit daily activity reports using tablets upon completion of each day.

Requirements

• Valid US state-issued driver’s license.
• Personal vehicle in sound operating condition, with minimum auto insurance coverage of $100,000 per person / $100,000 per accident / $100,000 property damage, permitting business use.
• Ability to drive long distances and make multiple sales calls daily.
• Ability to lift 10-40 lbs. regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and demonstrate manual dexterity frequently, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Daily access to wireless internet and ability to use tablet technology.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changes in territory coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3-4 years of food merchandising experience preferred but not required.
