TEKsystems is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to join the Compartmented Enterprise Services Office (CESO) effort. This program is establishing a modern secure web service (SWS) operation as part of a state-of-the-art, highly automated platform capable of supporting a rapidly expanding customer population. The role supports CESO’s migration to a high-security cloud environment by providing network and communication services, monitoring services, and system administration.

About the role

This position is based in Arlington, VA and is 100% on-site. The current schedule is 2nd shift: Monday–Friday, 12 pm–8 pm. If the customer activates 24/7 operations, the shift will move to 2 pm–10 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and implement detailed documentation for standard systems operating procedures to be used across the enterprise.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
  • Analyze available hardware and software from outside vendors and make recommendations for purchase and installation of cost-effective solutions.
  • Review work performed by lower-level technical staff.
  • Work both independently and in coordination with network administrators to maintain the smooth operation of a multi-user computer system.

Requirements

  • Experience with configuration, troubleshooting, and maintaining VMware environments.
  • Experience with Remote Desktop Services.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and other languages such as Python.
  • Experience applying security settings and commercial best practices, including DISA STIGs.
  • Experience with Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).
  • Experience with Group Policy Management (GPO) and applying Local Security Policies.
  • Experience with Windows Task Scheduler.
  • Experience managing Active Directory.
  • Experience with system (hardware) and application (software) installation and configuration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with DISA and DISA’s support to mission partners.
  • TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance.
  • Integration of Network Management (NM) and Element Management (EM) systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems.
  • Experience with support systems including enclave Ethernet switches, storage area networks (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS).
  • Thorough knowledge of networking principles, including TCP/IP.
  • Experience with a ticketing system such as BMC Remedy.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification.
  • Linux or Solaris OS experience.
  • Experience working with virtual environments.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $50.00 – $65.00 per hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site contract position in Arlington, VA. The current shift is Monday–Friday, 12 pm–8 pm. If 24/7 operations are activated, the shift will move to 2 pm–10 pm.
