About The Opportunity
The Trust Operations Specialist II plays a critical role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time by supporting payroll wage disbursement operations in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. In this role, you'll manage high-volume disbursement processing, resolve exceptions, and partner with internal teams, banking partners, employers, and government agencies to ensure operational excellence and compliance. Responsibilities
- Load, validate, monitor, and process high-volume wage disbursement files while meeting daily operational deadlines.
- Research and resolve processing exceptions, client inquiries, and disbursement issues received through email, phone, Salesforce, and internal case queues.
- Partner with employers, government agencies, banking partners, and cross-functional teams to resolve payment-related issues.
- Review audit reports and complete daily operational controls to ensure processing accuracy, compliance, and quality standards.
- Process pre- and post-disbursement exceptions, including returned mail, stale-dated checks, voids, and reissues.
- Prepare operational reports, departmental metrics, and customer correspondence related to disbursement activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, special projects, team meetings, and training while consistently meeting productivity and service-level expectations.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in payroll, tax, trust operations, financial operations, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach to resolving complex issues.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience working with operational controls, audits, and compliance processes.
- Adaptability, collaboration, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with payroll disbursement processing, trust operations, or financial transaction processing.
- Experience using AI-enabled productivity tools to improve operational efficiency and workflows.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar case management platforms.
