About the role

Under limited direction from a senior-level manager, you will use specialized knowledge and skills to manage the prudent investment of fiduciary and other discretionary assets held in Trust accounts, collaborating with Financial Advisors. This position leads defined work and projects of moderate scope and complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial review of assets and work with financial advisors to determine proper asset allocation, investment objective, security type, and selection of investments.
  • Conduct annual reviews for trust accounts and identify accounts requiring action per investment policies.
  • Collaborate with financial advisors to resolve identified matters during annual reviews.
  • Attend client and Financial Advisor meetings to discuss trust account investments as needed.
  • Attend and present at monthly Trust Investment Committee meetings.
  • Ensure portfolios comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Review and, if prudent, approve portfolio adjustments suggested by the financial advisor.
  • Manage projects through their lifecycle, including planning, assigning, scheduling, monitoring, and reviewing activities, as well as evaluating individual performance upon completion.
  • Train associates on the team to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completion of projects.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry.
  • Understanding of financial markets and products.
  • Familiarity with principles of estate planning, trusts, and securities industry operations.
  • Knowledge of various security types.
  • Understanding of investment management concepts as they pertain to trust accounts.
  • Skill in preparing and delivering written and oral presentations.
  • Ability to gather and compile information and data.
  • Proficiency in operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to attend to detail while maintaining a big-picture orientation.
  • Capability to interpret and apply policies and identify and recommend changes as appropriate.
  • Ability to organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels of the organization, including negotiating resources.
  • Ability to project a positive, professional image both internally and with external business contacts.
  • Capability to convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline and a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Investments.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred.
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam certification from FINRA.

Pay

The total compensation for this position includes base salary or wages and may include additional components such as cash or equity-based compensation, discretionary bonuses, or commissions.

Schedule

This is a hybrid position with less than 25% travel required.
