About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager with a strong Trust & Estate background to join a growing and well-established public accounting firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working closely with high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, estates, and privately held businesses. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical tax knowledge, excellent client service skills, and the ability to manage complex engagements from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, and closely held businesses.
  • Prepare and/or review Form 1040, 1041, 706, and 709 returns.
  • Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on tax planning and compliance strategies.
  • Provide guidance related to estate, gift, and trust taxation.
  • Manage multiple client engagements and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Review tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable tax laws.
  • Research complex tax issues and communicate recommendations to clients and internal team members.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Mentor and oversee the work of staff and senior-level tax professionals.
  • Collaborate with partners and other members of the firm on complex client matters.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and assist clients with year-round tax strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA license preferred or required depending on experience.
  • 6+ years of progressive tax experience, preferably within public accounting.
  • Strong experience with Trust & Estate taxation.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing 1040, 1041, 706, and 709 returns.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and privately held businesses is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines independently.
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring tax staff.
