Position Summary
The Trust and Estate Settlement Advisor oversees and manages postmortem trust and estate settlement accounts within Wealth Management, adhering to legal and fiduciary standards. They also assist in managing these accounts across the organization and engage with various stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Effectively oversee and manage postmortem trust and estate settlement account administration, ensuring compliance with governing instruments, laws, and ethical principles.
- Participate in all aspects of administration, including asset collection, investment decisions, and coordination with tax professionals.
- Maintain regular communication with Advisors, beneficiaries, attorneys, accountants, and other interested parties, handling client files, preparing meeting materials, managing deadlines, and addressing client concerns.
- Stay updated on Bank and Wealth Management policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with Fiduciary Advisors to manage client expectations, enhance client experiences, and promote Trust and Estate Settlement services.
- Participate in developing and implementing Trust and Estate Settlement Services policies and procedures.
Education & Experience
- Requires a four-year college degree. A JD is preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state estate tax, and postmortem administration of trusts and estates.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and relationship management skills.
- High-level sales, presentation, and client service expertise.
- Ability to analyze and interpret governing trust and/or estate documents, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and federal and state statutes.
- Experience in trust and estate settlement, including investments, banking, and trust concepts.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $98,000 - $127,555/year.
