Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive paralegal support to attorneys in all aspects of trust and estate administration.
- Aid with the probate process, including preparation and filing of probate documents, tracking deadlines, and communicating with clients and court personnel.
- Prepare trust and estate accountings, inventories, and other related documents.
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, correspondence, and legal documents.
- Coordinate with clients, financial institutions, and other professionals to gather information and documents necessary for trust and estate administration.
- Manage and organize client files, including scanning and e-filing documents.
- Ensure compliance with all court rules and procedures, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations related to trust and estate administration.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on trust and estate administration.
- Proficiency in probate, trust, and estate law, and familiarity with e-filing systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and other professionals.
- Detail-oriented and highly accurate, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Paralegal certification or equivalent legal education is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality client service.
