Truss Manufacturing Assembler

About the role

Star Truss, a division of Star Lumber & Supply Co., Inc., is seeking a Truss Manufacturing Laborer to join our first-shift team. This position operates 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts starting at 6:00 AM, with overtime as needed. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player who is detail-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily truss manufacturing processes, including pulling and loading lumber
• Work with hand and power tools
• Lay out and adjoin trusses
• Load out build floor and roof trusses
• Prepare trusses for shipment in an outdoor environment

Requirements

• Ability to accurately perform work based on provided instructions
• Demonstrated success working safely and following all PPE/OSHA guidelines
• Reliable transportation
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs. regularly and 100 lbs. with team lift
• Good attitude, social skills, work ethic, and team spirit
• Ability to pass physical capacity testing, drug testing, and E-Verify

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift operation or certification
• Experience using a tape measure, hand tools, and power tools
• Truss building experience

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Regularly lift 30-50 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 100 pounds
• Regularly walk on unleveled ground, stand, bend, stoop, balance, and climb
• Regular exposure to cold, hot, wet, dry, and/or humid conditions

First shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts starting at 6:00 AM, with overtime as needed.
