Truss Design Technician

We are seeking a Truss Design Technician to support sales and engineering teams by designing floor and roof trusses using specialized software. Key responsibilities include: creating truss layouts from architectural and structural drawings, interpreting blueprints, collaborating with engineering, production, and sales to develop and refine designs, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and developing component documents for manufacturing. The role requires 3-5 years of truss design experience and knowledge of construction, building products, and building codes. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Alpine Design software, and Microsoft Office is preferred. Essential skills include attention to detail, effective time management, problem-solving, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively. A related engineering degree and CAD proficiency are advantageous. The technician will also ensure adherence to safety policies and participate in ongoing training to maintain high-quality standards.
