Truss Builder
Position Summary
The Roof Truss Builder’s primary responsibility is to build roof trusses for Clayton Home Building Facilities. Duties include reading cut sheets and blueprints, setting up jigs, cords, and parts, ensuring proper nail placement, overhang, and king post, and meeting production requirements.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Read cut sheets and blueprints to build trusses that meet approved standards
- Check parts on assigned table/press to ensure proper setup of jig, cord, parts, and nails according to individual truss blueprint
- Ensure proper nail placement, overhang, and king post on every unit produced
- Meet production requirements in a timely manner while maintaining quality
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Or equivalent experience
- Ability to work well with a partner
- A passion for quality and attention to detail
- Reliability and efficient work pace

- Great attitude and teamwork
Physical Demands
- Able to lift and/or carry over 50 lbs
- Able to effectively communicate and exchange information with others
- Work primarily involves standing or walking, and may require bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching
