What You'll Do
- Assemble wood trusses and structural components according to work orders, layouts, and specifications
- Read and interpret production paperwork, blueprints, and measuring tools to ensure accuracy
- Measure, mark, position, and fasten materials using hand and power tools
- Inspect materials and completed products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
- Identify and remove damaged or non-conforming materials
- Set up workstations, tools, and materials for production runs
- Move completed products to staging or designated production areas
- Perform quality checks and support changeovers as needed during production
- Maintain awareness of production schedules and workflow priorities
- Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and operational procedures
- Inspect tools and equipment before use and report any safety or maintenance concerns
- Operate equipment and machinery safely and responsibly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals
- Communicate production issues, material shortages, or quality concerns promptly
- Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
- Experience in truss manufacturing, carpentry, construction, or production environments
- Familiarity with blueprints, work orders, or technical drawings
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Experience operating production equipment or pneumatic tools
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a manufacturing and production environment
- Exposure to machinery, dust, noise, vibration, and varying temperatures
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and carry materials (up to 50 lbs regularly, more with assistance as needed)
- May require overtime, weekends, or extended hours based on production schedules
