About the role
Vishay Barry is currently seeking applicants for an Assembler 1. The Assembler is responsible for assembly of electronic components. The Assembler will have an opportunity to enhance their manufacturing skills by working in multiple areas in the Assembly Department.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret the instructions on the traveler and customer specifications to process the order.
- Handle and test small electrical components.
- Using a microscope and tweezers, visually inspect parts per the traveler for the correct dimensional and visual criteria.
- Tasks may vary requiring flexibility and versatility, such as cover assembly, electrical tests, visual inspection, packaging, and other miscellaneous functions.
- Computer skills are required to record work performed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to perform work under a microscope and able to identify defects.
- Computer experience required.
- Strong hand eye coordination required.
- 1+ years of experience using microscopes and tweezers preferred.
- Must have a continuous improvement attitude and strong attention to detail.
- Detail oriented, self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude.
