FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for installation, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
• Must have strong troubleshooting, blueprint reading, and hydraulic skills.
• Willing to work with all types of building and production equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, tests, and installs apparatus and equipment, working from blueprints, schematics, sketches, verbal instructions, and other specifications.
• Detects and repairs issues involving installations and equipment.
• Fabricates and installs necessary equipment to complete tasks.
• Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, parts lists, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Aligns, fits, and assembles component parts using hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and blueprints.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed components.
• Installs, repairs, and services specialized mechanical equipment, machinery, panels, and wiring.
• Completes installations and conducts necessary testing to verify work.

TRAINING/EDUCATION REQUIRED

• A high school diploma or equivalent from a certified technical school.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $20 to $23.
