Truck Shop Mechanic Maint. (2nd Shift)-Broken Bow, OK

2nd Shift: Sunday through Thursday, 11:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

About the role

This position is responsible for all phases of mechanical duties from tire changing to engine repair while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Work environment may be cold or warm. Some duties require lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 70+ lbs. Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, and pulling are required.

Applicants will be considered for any mechanic start type opening on any shift, including day, evening, or night shift, as well as overtime and weekends if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical duties including tire changing and engine repair
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Adhere to Tyson policies and procedures
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 70+ lbs
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, stretch, and pull for extended periods

Requirements

• 1 year of mechanical or maintenance experience or equivalent technical certificate in a mechanical field from an accredited school
• Must possess the following tools:
  • Combination wrenches: SAE ¼ -1-1/4; Metric 6-26
  • 3/8 drive sockets: SAE ¼ -15/16; Metric 6-20 (deep and shallow sockets); at least 1 ratchet, 1 3-inch extension, 1 6-inch extension
  • ½ inch drive sockets: SAE 9/16 -1-1/4; Metric 14-26 (deep and shallow sockets); at least 1 ratchet, 1 3-inch extension, 1 6-inch extension
  • Straight and Philips screwdrivers of various lengths
  • Torx head bits or screwdrivers: T5-T55
  • Allen wrenches or bits: 1/16 – 5/16 inch; Metric 1.5-5.5
  • 3 different length pry bars
  • Pliers: needle nose, channel lock style, vise grip
  • 2 different size crescent wrenches
  • 12-volt electrical test light
  • Hammers
  • Securable toolbox big enough to hold all tools
