Truck Service Advisor

Focuses on providing excellent customer service where the expectations of the customer are exceeded.

Primary Responsibilities

• Write up work orders
• Suggestive selling
• Handle over the counter sells (OTC)
• Ensure travelers are returned to the road safe and better than when they arrived

Key Skills

• Extensive knowledge of services and products
• Strong selling skills to generate revenue
• Influence in a professional manner while maintaining high integrity
• Ability to write, detail, and process work orders and OTC transactions
• Properly write up an ETA
• Secure purchase orders, prepare and communicate quotes to customers
• Prepare end of shift drop and shift reports
• Provide descriptions of any issues with vehicles and help customers understand what is needed to return them to the road safely
• Regularly be on the phone speaking to drivers, companies, securing payments, or advising drivers/companies with issues related to their vehicle

Work Environment

• Exposure to outdoor elements in all seasons
• Occasionally exposed to fumes and particles
• Noise level can be loud at times

Requirements

• Dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to be a part of the team
• Good verbal, written, and communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work night shift hours, weekends, some holidays, and be available to come in if needed to cover a shift
• A valid drivers license and reliable transportation
• No previous experience needed

• Standing, walking, kneeling, bending over, and crouching
