About Us
U.S. Multimodal Group (USMMG) specializes in providing comprehensive transportation and logistics solutions. Its subsidiary, Terminal Consolidation Company, is hiring drivers for the Kansas City, MO location.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive service on trucks (oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, etc.)
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Repair or replace malfunctioning components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure vehicles meet DOT and company standards
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs
- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper operation after repairs
- Respond to roadside breakdowns and emergency repairs (if required)
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and repair techniques
- Some weekend work, light trailer repair, mounting and dismounting tires
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred)
- 2 years' experience
- Proven experience as a truck or diesel mechanic
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicle systems
- Ability to operate diagnostic software and tools
- Understanding of safety procedures and DOT regulations
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred in some roles)
Qualifications
