Essential Functions. JOB DESCRIPTION SafetyFollow all Plant Safety Rules and RegulationsUtilize proper PPE at all timesHandle and dispose of hazardous material safely and per policy as outlined by all relevant regulationsQualityResponsible to produce continuous quality parts and ensure all quality procedures are followedCompliance to ISO 9001Complete Manufacturing/Quality documentsCommunicate with internally concerning deviations or general requestAssist in 6s and lean manufacturing practicesEnvironmentalVerify compliance to local, state, and federal regulationsComplete reports as necessary internally/externallyPrimary Production ResponsibilitiesIndependently operate machines, equipment, and produce production parts to required tolerancesRead and comprehend customer specification sheets; anticipate the next order and stage supplies/products as neededUtilize Company systems for reporting production, scrap, inventory, etc.Follow direction and product required quantitiesVerify drums are completed to daily schedule requirements at an acceptable level of qualityEnsure all shipping materials are used correctlyEnsure drums are loaded correctly in appropriate trailerArrange dock areas to be clean, tidy, and safeSort and rearrange rejected drums into designated areaTroubleshoot mechanical issues with other operators, maintenance, and management Other Duties Maintain working area in a clean, orderly and safe conditionCarry out minor maintenance overhauls and parts changes; including designated preventative maintenanceTrack issues with downtime and/or equipmentAttend all required meetings and trainings Perform all other duties as required or requested Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING High School Diploma or GEDPrior experience in industrial manufacturingHazardous Material Handling LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS Forklift License - Preferably Problem-solving Skills Offer highest level of innovation and problem-solving skills to influence overall efficiency, improvements in productivity, outcomes, etc. Verbal Communication Skills Use verbal skills to transfer information to operators, maintenance, and management Written Communication Skills Complete reports such as production, quality, and inventory legibly Math Skills Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, ratios Computer Skills Internal manufacturing systems PHYSICAL DEMANDS (Typically required on a regular basis to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed throughout the shiftAbility to stand, kneel/stoop, and walk for the duration of the shiftRequires good hand/eye/foot coordinationWhile performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, loud environments, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditionsVision: 20/20 corrected; and normal hearing rangeAble to work in a non-climate controlled environment – cold in winter months and hot in the summer months PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (Typically required on a regular basis) Boots: steel or composite toedSafety GlassesGloves: latex, work gloves, etc.Hearing ProtectionSleeves: cut resistantProperly fitted clothingHard Hat (in designated areas) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
