Truck Helper - Full Time - Transportation

Responsibilities

• Secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment.
• S spots trucks when Truck Driver is backing into an area.
• Moves donated items to designated area.
• Removes donated items and trash from collection sites to maintain the site in a clean and orderly condition.
• Reads map or enters address into GPS device or follows written instructions to direct the driver in locating destinations.

Requirements

• No prior experience or training required.

Physical Demands

• Regularly uses hands to finger, handle or feel.
• Regularly bends and stoops.
• Regularly stands or walks.
• Pulls or pushes.
• Reaches with hands and arms, above and below shoulder.
• Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves more than 100 pounds.
• Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
• Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
• Occasional exposure to noise or vibration; dust; odors.
• Work environment is usually moderate in noise level.
