Truck Fueler - 3rd Shift

About the role

The Truck Fueler reports directly to the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the operation and refueling of all vehicles returned to the yard on a daily basis. The role involves tracking, monitoring, and measuring fuel dispensed into each unit while maintaining accurate nightly records to ensure timely refueling.

Responsibilities

• Fuels all vehicles returned to the yard on a daily basis.
• Operates vehicles in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal requirements.
• Tracks, monitors, and measures fuel dispensed into each unit.
• Maintains accurate nightly records to ensure all vehicles are fueled on time.
• Follows Athens Services Safety Rules for safe operation.
• Immediately reports any unsafe situations, service calls, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor.
• Participates in all scheduled training, briefings, and safety meetings as required by the company.
• Uses standard tools and resources provided by the company.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A or B Driver’s License.
• 1+ years of experience operating a commercial vehicle.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Ability to meet all DOT requirements.
• Capable of performing the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Work experience in waste, environmental services, energy, or transportation industries.

• Standing, walking, seeing, hearing, and smelling continuously.
• Problem-solving, oral/written communication, analytical ability, concentration, and interpersonal abilities continuously.
• Eye/hand coordination, handling, and wrist motion continuously.
• Bending, reaching, and stretching frequently.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, grease, oil, chemicals, wet/hot conditions, and noise continuously.
• Works outside only.

Pay

$26.54 - $26.79 per hour
