Truck & Equipment Technician (Electrical/Camera Specialty)

About the role

This role involves additional responsibilities such as electrical assembly, wiring, and testing of robotic underground sewer inspection equipment, alongside standard technician duties.

Responsibilities

• Builds knowledge of dealer supported product lines, service standards, and procedures and stays updated on various models of equipment sold and serviced by the distributor.
• Performs work as outlined on repair orders, adhering to Service shop and Factory standards.
• Attends local, regional, and national service schools and training sessions as requested.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and professional work environment, both in the shop and at customer sites.
• Utilizes various equipment and tools, including hand tools, power tools, testing/diagnostic equipment, cranes, and hoists.
• Fosters positive working relationships with all service, parts, and administrative personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2-year Diesel Technician/Mechanic degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years working in a full-time technician/mechanic role on heavy duty chassis.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Previous experience with electrical wiring, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical experience.
• Welding/cutting torch experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
• Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Qualifications

• Direct industry experience preferred.
• ADA Requirements: Bend, squat, climb, grasp, twist, reach, lift or otherwise move frequently for extended periods. Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. frequently, or more occasionally. Walk, stand, or otherwise move about continuously. Sit, grasp items and perform keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer. Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards including chemicals which may require respiratory protection.

Pay

This role offers a salary range of $27.00 - $47.00 per hour, with final compensation determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.
