Truck Driver/Operations Specialist

About the role
CHS Ag Services in Crookston, MN is looking for a Truck Driver/Operations Specialist to join our team. This individual would be responsible for driving during the growing season and performing operations work in the non-growing season. The ideal candidate would possess a Class A or B CDL and have their hazmat and tanker endorsement or the ability to obtain. This is a Monday–Friday role with weekends as needed during the busy season.
Responsibilities
- Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
- Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading.
- Load and unload agricultural inputs using machinery or equipment.
- Conduct and record repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and maintain inventory quality.
- Deliver products safely and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations including hours of service.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Perform grounds and warehouse maintenance.
- Report safety or customer issues promptly.
- Maintain strong safety culture.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Trucking Operations.
- Must meet minimum age requirement.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card.
- Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends.
- Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
- Valid Class A CDL preferred.
- Agriculture background preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins, and into back of trailer.
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
Pay
Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
