About the Role

Immediate opportunities for full-time local Class A CDL Truck Drivers. You will drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort, equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety. This role involves making dock-to-dock deliveries of palletized grocery products with no pallet breakdowns required. All deliveries are local, ensuring you are home daily.

Pay

Average annual pay of $92,000, plus a $3,000 annual safety bonus. Additional $200 incentive for picking up an extra day. Driver referral bonus program offering up to $5,000 per referral.

Schedule

Multiple schedules available, including an 11 pm start time.

Responsibilities

  • Make dock-to-dock deliveries of palletized grocery products
  • Represent Penske and client brands while driving branded trucks and wearing client uniforms
  • Follow all federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
  • Operate vehicles safely and maintain a constant state of alertness

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL required
  • Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in your state of residence
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • English language proficiency (required by federal law)
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
  • Must work the required schedule and location

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting
  • Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
