Truck Driver Hiring Event 7/15 - Local Class A - Penske Logistics
Average annual pay: $91,000. Local, home-daily routes with a driver referral bonus program up to $5,000 per referral.
Responsibilities
- Making deliveries to stores, including locations in New York City
- Average 1 to 4 stops per route
- Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers
- Home daily

- AM and PM dispatch times available

Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
- 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
- Work the required schedule and location
- Complete Penske employment application, background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening
- This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety-sensitive; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required
- Ability to accept responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others
Physical Requirements
- Ability to see and hear; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting
- Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area
