Pay

• Average weekly earnings: $1,357

Job Details

Deliver SOLO within a 150‑mile radius of Lehigh, PA. Route is local with home‑daily. Tractor type: Straight truck; trailer type: Straight truck 26’. Equipment provided includes pallet jack and rolling carts. Freight consists of tailgate deliveries, including U.S. Mail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading when required by the customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 21 years.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide a valid CDL with appropriate endorsements for the position.
• Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years experience within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• USPS secondary background screen – Federal Level 2 (required for this account).
• Selective Service registration for males born after December 31, 1959 (unless legally exempt).
• Additional screening may be required for some positions (employment/education verification, motor‑vehicle records check, road test, customer‑specific background requirements).
