Truck Driver - Class A

Primary Responsibilities

• Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, shuttle, and overnight routes.
• Deliver and/or unload food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.
• Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally.
• Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer.
• Inspect and secure freight, count items, and verify customer invoices.
• Unload products, transport items, and complete necessary paperwork.
• Verify delivery of items with customers and collect payments.
• Load customer returns onto trailers and ensure proper securing.
• Unload damaged goods and customer returns, and complete necessary paperwork.
• Unload all equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers as required.
• Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean.
• Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 6+ months Tractor/Trailer driving experience
• Valid CDL-A
• Aged 21+
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight.
