Ryder is hiring in Spanaway, WA — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career with regional routes in Eastern WA and Seattle.

Pay

  • Hourly Pay: $29.00 per hour
  • Hours Per Week: 40+ hours
  • Weekly Pay: $1,414 or more
  • Per Diem Pay: $40.00 per night with 2 nights per week
  • Overnights for route in Ryder-booked hotel
  • Paid training

Schedule

  • Monday - Thursday
  • Start Time: 4:30 AM - 5:00 AM dispatch

Route & Equipment

  • Deliver solo to Eastern WA (Mon/Tues) and Seattle, WA and surrounding area (Wed/Thur)
  • Route: Regional
  • Tractor Type: 26' straight truck
  • Equipment: Pallet jack, automatic liftgate, and hand cart
  • Ryder provides training on all equipment
  • Freight: Touch – pet food (heavy touch)
  • Must be able to drive in snow
  • Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance
  • Company drivers fuel up at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
  • Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class B verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
    • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
    • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
  • Maintain accurate records and logs
  • Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by customer
  • Perform other duties as assigned
