Ryder is hiring a Class B CDL Truck Driver in Syracuse, NY. The position offers weekly pay, bonuses, a comprehensive benefits package, and a home‑daily route delivering HVAC equipment across NY, PA, NJ, and CT.
Pay
Weekly pay starts at $1,500, with the potential to earn more. Drivers also receive a $3,500 bonus within the first year. The hourly rate is $28.45 based on a 40‑hour work week.
Schedule
Paid training runs Monday – Friday, starting at 6:00 PM. Regular work is 40 + hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading when required by the customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Additional screening may be required, including employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle records check, road test, and/or customer‑specific background requirements
