Truck Driver - CDL Class B Hazmat - Penske Logistics

About the Role

Local dedicated route with home daily Monday through Friday schedule. Straight truck position with touch freight using a pallet jack. Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire.

You will drive late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety, equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras.

Responsibilities

• Deliver freight on a dedicated local route using a straight truck and pallet jack
• Provide reliable delivery service while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction
• Complete local routes with consistent weekly miles and delivery stops based on business needs

Schedule

• Monday through Friday night schedule with dispatch times typically between 11 PM to 1 AM
• Home daily with consistent weekday schedule
• No overnight travel required

Pay

Average $92,000 annually.

Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL
• Airbrake endorsement required
• Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented relevant commercial vehicle driving experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• English language proficiency (required by federal law 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Ability to work the required schedule and at the specific location required
• Complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation and is safety sensitive; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Must frequently move, stand, walk, and sit
• Frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area
