About the Role
Local dedicated route with home daily Monday through Friday schedule. Straight truck position with touch freight using a pallet jack. Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire.
You will drive late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety, equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras.
Responsibilities
- Deliver freight on a dedicated local route using a straight truck and pallet jack
- Provide reliable delivery service while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction
- Complete local routes with consistent weekly miles and delivery stops based on business needs
Schedule
- Monday through Friday night schedule with dispatch times typically between 11 PM to 1 AM
- Home daily with consistent weekday schedule
- No overnight travel required

Pay
Average $92,000 annually.
Requirements
- Valid Class B CDL
- Airbrake endorsement required
- Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- 1 year of documented relevant commercial vehicle driving experience in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- English language proficiency (required by federal law 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
- Ability to work the required schedule and at the specific location required
- Complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening
- This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation and is safety sensitive; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must frequently move, stand, walk, and sit
- Frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
- Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area
