Truck Driver - CDL Class B Hazmat - Penske Logistics

About the role
Dedicated route with home daily. Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire. You will drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety, equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras.
Responsibilities
- Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to retail stores
- Unload trailer using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and totes
- Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
- Average of 7 stops per route

Requirements
- Valid Class B CDL with Airbrake endorsement
- Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- 1 year of documented relevant commercial vehicle driving experience in the last 5 years
- 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Must comply with all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
- English language proficiency (required by federal law, 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
- Must work the required schedule and at the specified location
- Must complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening
This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation and is designated as safety-sensitive. Associates must maintain a constant state of alertness and operate safely at all times, accepting responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must frequently move, stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
- Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area
