About the role

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Charlotte, NC, offering weekly pay and excellent benefits. Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations. The position provides autonomy on the road with support behind the scenes, and Ryder purchases owner-operator trucks while providing support during the transition and throughout your career. Ryder is a community of proud women and men in logistics, including many Military Reservists and Veterans.

Pay

• Weekly pay: $1,641.20 or more per week
• Hourly rate: $29.84 per hour
• Hours per week: 50+ hours
• Tenure bonus: $300 paid four times per year (quarterly)

Schedule

• Route: Local shuttle from Charlotte, NC to Roanoke, VA — home daily
• Tractor type: Day cab
• Trailer type: Flatbed 48' and 53'
• Freight: Touch freight — steel and metal
• Automatic transmission restrictions accepted
• Paid training schedule: Sunday through Thursday, start time 11:00 PM
• Must have 6 months of flatbed experience
